The Music for Good Society is currently in the process of producing three charitable initiatives due to take place before the end of 2006. The first is a CD recording of local artists due to be released in November 2006. This disc will be sold on-line and at upcoming events, the proceeds will be applied to the event at hand as well as to supplement ongoing charitable endeavors of the Society. Also, the Society is partnering with the Kiwanis Music Festival for an upcoming benefit titled ‘Back to Kiwanis’ to be held at the Seahorse Tavern, in Halifax, on Saturday the 9th of September 2006. This gala presentation will feature some of the best and brightest maritime singer-songwriters from a wide sphere of musical influences, many of whom had their earliest musical experiences at the Kiwanis Music Festival. In the near future, the Music for Good Society will present the second annual ‘Gifts of Song’ charity concert for our returning charity partner the Christmas Daddies. Taking place on the 26th of November, the Society expects an even more successful show to benefit this worthy cause. Read More
