Music For Good is launching a new program called Sosúa Kids 250 with the goal of providing 250 children in the Dominican Republic with school uniforms and the supplies they need to attend public school. At a cost of roughly $50 Canadian required per student, Music For Good has set a goal of raising $12,500 for this initiative.

The money raised by Music For Good for Sosúa Kids 250 will be given to Sosúa Kids, a non-profit organization located in the Sosúa area of the North Coast of the Dominican Republic dedicated to improving the educational opportunities of poor children in the region.

Children in the Dominican Republic are entitled to attend public school at no cost, but they must have full school uniforms, backpacks and school supplies. Sosúa Kids helps families that cannot afford these items by providing vouchers at local department store to get uniforms at a discount, and all the supplies and materials they need. For less than $50 Canadian, Sosúa Kids can help send a child to school.
